Join us for the 3rd annual Barlofest!
It’s that time again! The third annual Barlofest is practically here. Campfires, movies, yard games, board games, eating and drinking, slippin’ ’n’ slidin’, fishing, hiking, dirt bikes, go-karts, bounce house for the little folks, baby pool and hot tub for everyone, and whatever else we end up getting into. From here, you can also explore the region and check out Lake Ontario, the Finger Lakes and Niagara Falls. Family and friends are welcome—please just let us know how many you're bringing and when so we can plan accordingly!
But what else can we do?
If there are any specific activities or adventures that interest you, hit us up! We're always down to help make a plan and see who wants to join in. Last year a group took a fishing trip on Lake Ontario and came home with an intense amount of king salmon. We also have a number of breweries in the area and some fun children's museum-type places within an hour's drive.
But I just want to drink beer by the fire all day.
Cool! Get after it.
But where can we sleep?
The accommodation spreadsheet is live. You can use the map below to check out the options; you will find numerous prime tent camping and RV spaces that are available based on your preferences. We also have limited space in the house's finished and less-finished parts (the basement is a work in progress—but if you saw it last year, prepare to be pleasantly surprised!). Last but not least is the off-grid cabin, which doesn't have running water and toilets, but it makes up for it with amazing woodworking. Sign up using the spreadsheet on this page or via this link.
If you're thinking, "wow, an RV sounds fun, but we don't have one," check out a few RV and camper rentals. Some have delivery:
If you like us but this sounds like a nightmare to you, there is a brand new Comfort Inn 10 minutes from our home.
But what are we going to eat??
We'll plan on providing a few meals for the whole group, but for the most part, we fly by the seat of our pants—some meals end up being collaborative feasts, while other times everyone fends for themselves. With Walmart a mile away, and Tops and Aldi not much farther, getting provisions is easy. (At 25 minutes away, Wegmans is a bit of a hike, but it's worth it for the plethora of seltzer and beer options.) Our kitchen, grill, and fire pits will be available to help you prepare food. There are also a couple of pizza places that will deliver.
